Dear Hubby,

I’m writing you this to let you know how much I love you. Over the last 16 years, you have been there for me when everyone else left me to die. You have been my rock. You keep me grounded. And above all, you are my best friend.

When I first laid eyes on you in high school, I never dreamed my life would turn out the way it has. I never imagined having someone in my life that loves me unconditionally and cares about me.

I could not have picked a better partner to be with for the rest of my life. You complete me. We are like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, we just go well together.

Over the last few months, I was on my way to losing myself. You never once quit on me. Instead you gave me courage to take baby steps. You were there holding my hand when I wanted to run away. You took over the daily housework, shopping and tending to the girls when I couldn’t. You gently patted me on the back and told me job well done if I managed to go into a store. You take me as I am. You accepted the crazy in me. You embraced the stubborn side of me. You wiped away the tears and comforted me. And you coddled the frightened side of me.

I have always said that without you, I am nothing. These last 16 years have been the best years of my life. I look forward to the rest of our lives together. Honey, I love you with every ounce of being I have in me. Happy Anniversary. Here’s looking to the next 16 (well many more) years together with you.

With all my love,
Your Crazy Wife

Oopsie, I forgot to end the contest last night. I get it’s better late than never huh? Here is the winner:

Congrats to Terra. Please check your email.

This morning I had the scare of my life. For a brief moment, all my fears surfaced. The fear of my husband losing his eyesight. Many of you know of my husbands poor eyesight and the problems he faces every day.

In the wee hours of the morning, he woke me up almost crying. His left eye was throbbing and red as a beet. He could see out of it, but not all that well. I panicked. I didn’t know what to do. He finally was able to go back to sleep and when we got up, I tried to call his eye Dr. Well wouldn’t you know it, he’s not open on Saturdays. So I had to find one that was. I placed a call to the girls eye Dr. (no we don’t use the same for personal reasons).

After watching the tears stream down his face, I knew he was scared and in a lot of pain. We were so fearful his retina was detaching. So here we are in a new to him eye Dr’s office. Under the circumstances this normally wouldn’t be funny. However we have been to so many eye Dr’s and specialist, we always get a kick out of a newbie looking at his eyes. They get this dazed and confused look on their faces. I guess when you have been through it as many times as we have, you just have to find humor in it.. or we are sick people.

The young eye Doc goes to look at his eyes through that little do hickey with the bright lights on it. He looks and he looks and he looks some more. He emerges with this puzzled look on his face. He leaves and goes gets another eye Dr. He comes in looks and looks and looks some more. Then he leaves. The first Doc comes strolling back and and looks more.

My hubby managed to stump them. Well sort of. He’s got an infection on his cornea in three places.. very small. But he has a huge massive amount of inflammation that there’s no real explanation for. Go figure. Hubby at this point looks like he’s watching the Titanic for the first time, he’s not crying, but his eyes are watering like a water faucet. He is in so much pain.

The eye Dr gives him some drops in the office to help until we could get the meds filled. The eye Doc is sooooo super nice. He gave us his home and cell phone numbers to call if we needed him and got our number to call and check on him. How sweet huh? We leave and run over to Walgreen’s to get his 3 scripts filled. OH. MY. GOODNESS. $136.00. I had to get it back. There was no way possible. I had some grocery money put up from some deals he and his brother done. But it wasn’t enough.

So I get the prescriptions back and we head off to another drug store. He was cheaper but after I paid for it, I had a whopping $8 left to my name. But he was going to get that meds one way or another. We came back and picked up Shorty and my wonderful mother in law gave us $100 of it back to get groceries.

He started the meds and is feeling a little better. He’s not in as much pain. He said that his eye feels super sore. He’s slept off and on all afternoon. He has to administer one of the drops every two hours. Today made me realize how precious his eyesight is. It can really go at any time.

We live in a world where our children can get lost or disappear with a blink of the eye.  I am a paranoid parent.  I am always yelling at the girls to stay close and not to wander off.  It’s been a fear of mine for one of my girls to become lost.

Today Shorty went on a field trip.  For the first time, I relaxed and did not have to worry about me losing her.  Thanks to the help of The Watchdogz Temporary Tattoos.  The Watchdogz offer a temporary tattoo ID and safety tattoos for boys and girls.

I put Shorty’s on her this morning.  I let her choose from the three different designs for girls we had.  There’s Hanna, Ruby and Angelina for the girls. She chose Hanna.

The tattoo is just like any other temporary tattoo you buy.  The difference is, The Watchdogz temporary tattoos come with a blank space that can be filled in with a phone number.  To put the tattoo on, all you do is wet a washcloth and hold on there for around 20 seconds.  Once it’s dried, you can fill in the blanks with whatever phone number you want to be used in case your child becomes lost.

No matter where you are going, the park, the mall, any crowded venue, or at school functions, you can decrease your worry with Watchdogz.

Today, I let my child wander around with ease.  I had my cell phone on me and that number was used as the contact number.  I highly recommend The Watchdogz to any parent with a child.  No matter the age, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks to Mom Fuse for this opportunity!!

They are the most famous parents in this day and time. Both strikingly beautiful. I, of course am talking about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. People Magazine unveiled their two new additions to the family. Aren’t they cute?

There’s a snippet of the 19 page article on the People website. Of course if you want all the story and photos of the Jolie-Pitt brood Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, Shiloh, 2, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, 3 weeks, you will have to buy it on the News stands, which I will probably do some time this week.

If you know me, then you know there’s nothing I love more than Chocolate. Seriously I think I could drink my weight in it, bath in it and heck if my car would run on it, I would be using it. I was recently approached by Hotel Chocolat to sample some of their chocolates. Now when I seen this my eyes got all watery and I was as giddy as could be. I jumped on board of course. So they sent me some of their finest premiere chocolates. And let me say… I’m in heaven.

Hotel Chocolat began 15 years ago by two people who were tired of seeing less quality chocolates sold in the U.K. Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris decided they needed to create a chocolate so divine that it would set it apart from any other chocolate company out there. And that they did. And now they have created a sister site here in the U.S. where everyone around the world can get in on their succulent chocolates.

I was fortunate enough to be sent a sample of their goodies in exchange for this review. Hey I don’t mind one bit working for chocolates. And let me just say, I have had a lot of chocolate in my life, but I have to say this is by far some of the best I have ever had. Since they use the natural sweetness of the chocolate, they don’t use as much sugar as normal chocolates have.

Wednesday morning, I got a package through UPS. I literally skipped back to the front door just to open and reveal my gifts. I made my way inside and hubby took over the box and opened it. I was screwed. He rambled through and found these cute little treasures and staked claim on them (as if we were living in the old west staking land claims). He had found the Macadamia Turtles. After having to wrestle them away from him, I tried them and let me tell you this, if you love Macadamia nuts you will love these little treats. The chocolate is smooth and creamy and yet the little bits of corn give it a great texture. Just look at the picture, it really doesn’t give it justice as to how delicious it is.

Then I found the prize. The giant slab of Caramellow goodness in the box was just calling my name. All 17 ounces of it. I take it to the kitchen an begin to cut me a thin piece of it off so I could inspect it. The chocolate convection was so pretty. It has swirls of milk chocolate and caramel in it. Chunks of caramel nestles itself through out the slab. Little specks of chocolate adorn the top like spot and toffee bits are sprinkled on the top. It’s really a work of art when you look at it. And tasting it was actually fun. It’s like an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Nothing over powers anything. It just melds together so well.

I am so excited that I got this opportunity to check out Hotel Chocolat. I am immensely satisfied with their creations and will be ordering more for myself and to give out as Christmas gifts. It’s not over priced and it’s really some of the best if not the best I have ever tried. You should really give this company a try, I know first hand that you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend them and give them 5 stars.

I could have a problem if I wanted one. I love to gamble. I won’t lie about it. But now that I’m financially unstable, I like to find free places online to play either poker or slots. I’m a minor wanting to play in a major field. I do know people however who doesn’t mind spending a buck and look to places like topusaonlinecasinos.com to find the best places to play online gambling. To me, being an amateur player finds the website a tad bit complicated. I do understand the ratings and such, but the numbers really threw me off. Those more advance players would probably know what a bonus and a payout means. Over all, i really like the concept of the website, I just suggest maybe they explain what the site is about and what the different tabs mean. Also, to maybe include some free sites that people on a limited budget can enjoy. I think that in with a little time it could become a very useful and great site.
