Thirteen years ago today, I was becoming a mother for the first time. I was bringing a life into this world. I was scared, terrified and yet I knew from the moment I saw you, that I wanted to be a mother. All 9 lbs. 3 oz. of you was mine. You’re ten little fingers and ten little toes. You’re cute bald head that I had to use toothpaste to stick a bow in your hair was all mine. I would dress you up in frilly dresses so everyone would know that you were a girl because of your lack of hair on your head.I had no clue what I was supposed to do. I read books after books on raising babies. But no book could teach me what I knew was in my heart. The joy of loving you every single day. The joy of teaching you new things every single day. Hearing you say Ma Ma for the first time or rolling over. It was all such a blessing to watch. You are still an amazement to watch.
You were not the typical child. Everything was drama with you. But that’s just you. You even scared me sometimes, like with your seizures, but I overcame that and leaned to accept it as a part of our life.
I have watched you begin from a seed and blossom into a beautiful flower. And you will continue to grow and make me so proud to be your mother. I love you so much that even the words seem weak in comparison. We may not always see eye to eye. But always remember that what I do is only out of love for you. You are my oldest daughter and I hope you have the happiest 13th birthday.
Love,
Your Momma

Happy Birthday Jelly Bean (9lbs. 3oz….! now that’s some jelly bean)
Not always seeing eye to eye with Momma is going to happen (hey you’re 13, it’s your job), but if you stay heart to heart with her then everything will work out fine.
That was special, your daughter is lucky.

You guys are so sweet. Jelly Bean said to tell everyone thank you so much and she had a great birthday. She got a small surprise party from my mother in law and went shopping so she’s happy.
Thanks Ada, I try my best to make my girls feel special on their birthdays. It’s becoming a tradition for us. Thanks for stopping by and for your vote!!
