Don’t Bite Me Patches (Contest)
************This Contest is now CLOSED!!*************

There’s a skeeter on my…… oh wait, I can’t finish that song. But you get the point.
I highly dislike anything that crawls and bites me. Specifically ticks. After my round with the tick that caused me to be treated for Lyme Disease, I highly dislike them. I will freak out if one is crawling one me. I tend to stay inside more these days because of my fear of them.
I do not like spraying down with bug sprays. They stink and I’m too forgetful to keep applying. But I have found the best thing since sliced bread for repelling any critters that love to bite. Don’t Bite Me Patch.
When I was asked to try them, I was a little skeptical. The two ingredients are vitamin B1 and aloe. I thought I have tried every spray on the market with no success, how is this little patch with vitamin going to work. I am a believer now.

Last weekend, we had a little experiment. I kept mine on for the full 36 hours that it says to. And hubby did not put one on. Since it has rained here so much, the mosquitoes, ticks and fleas are in an abundance. I was ecstatic that I did not receive the first bite, while hubby on the other hand was a mosquito magnet. I did not have any fleas bite me. I did not have the first tick any where on my body.
How it works is amazing. The patch is placed on a hairless, clean part of the body (I stuck mine on my upper arm). The vitamin in the patch is soaked through the skin and excreted through the pores. The little creepy crawlies do not like the vitamin therefore staying clear of your body.

It’s waterproof and is so safe. There is no harsh chemicals, no pesticides and is safe for kids of all ages. Each patch supplies 36 hours of bug free relief. The Don’t Bite Me Patches can be bought at Krogers, Rite-Aid, Brookshire Brothers, Fry’s and Fry’s Marketplace and on their website.
I have told everyone in our family about these. I absolutely without a doubt love this product. I would not have been a believer if I had not conducted the experiment with hubby.
Get in it to win it!!

The fact that it is safe for kids is a plus. My now 3 yr old nephew got so bit by bugs last year that he started crying one morning because it was bothering him so much.
This would be a great item for him and his 4 yr old brother and his 6 month old brother.

13. Are there any side effects from using the Don’t Bite Me! Patch?
Thiamine is generally considered safe and relatively nontoxic, even at high doses. Dermatitis or more serious hypersensitivity reactions occur rarely. If you have a skin reaction to the patch, apply Benadryl (or hydrocortisone cream) and it should improve shortly

I think they’re amazing! I can’t use typical bug sprays because they trigger my usually under control asthma. But these have no chemicals, and since they’re a patch I couldn’t inhale it anyway. Thanks for the chance to win some to try!
June 14th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
Okay…I’m a total skeptic like you 1st were. I’d love to believe that it works, though, since the mosquitoes just LOVE me! I can go out even just to our garage for 2 minutes and come back in with 7 bites! I love to go to garage sales, but the bites just kill me! This would be fabulous (if they really do work!)
