As I lay deep in my slumber, probably dreaming of a nice toasty beach, my daughter woke me up. Apparently she think I like snow. Now I love watching the kids’ face light up with excitement over the frozen white stuff. Me not so much.
Jellybean woke me up at 6 AM yelling it has snowed. OMG if I could have gotten my hands around her neck, I probably would have strangled her. But being the half ass good mother I am, I crawled up (cursing under my breath) to “enjoy” the excitement with her. I knew it wouldn’t stick around long so I go into Shorty’s room and tell her to roll over and look out her window. She said with a half asleep squeal.. “It snowed! ” Then she said “I’ll wake up later to play in it”. Okie dokie, however that lasted all of 5 minutes.
Wild child could care less, she’s like her mother bless her heart. She is still in the bed. I’m envious of her. I’m sitting here freezing, drinking a cup of coffee and staring at the white abnormality out my back window.

You do have to agree that’s it’s pretty???!! I love the snow because one of my favrite things is sitting with a cup of cocoa in front of a warm fire watching it snow. I love the special winter light it gives us. So I sometimes get up earlier than usual when it’s snowing to enjoy it….and then I go back to bed
I won’t lie, it’s very pretty. But it’s also very cold. And I hate cold. I prefer the hot summer months any day over cold and snowy.
